An Earth Day Poem from DC today: Central Force tissue paper tree stands solemn in the breeze pink flowers so cramped, the leaves bursting for air pale petals stuffed together, almost weighing down the branches smells sit hazy in the wet air vanilla daffodils, soggy pavement, traces of gasoline sounds flitter above my head football coach shouting commands to the team, squeaks of a wagon, the hum of cars past raindrops glitter in soft sunlight and the tissue paper tree learns -Torin, age 11
