An unmanned supply rocket that had been headed to the International Space Station exploded just seconds after liftoff Tuesday evening in Virginia. This was a commercial spaceflight being carried out for NASA by Orbital Sciences using its Antares rocket, what was to have been its fourth flight to the space station. SpaceX is also being paid by NASA to deliver supplies to the orbiting outpost, and its planned that SpaceX, along with Boeing, will also eventually fly astronauts to it. Officials said that nothing in the destroyed shipment was urgently needed by the astronauts. This was the first disaster involving the commercial spaceflights by Orbital and SpaceX. youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hSJ2kcDirEo
