And just like that...the ice cream has melted, the rhubarb meringue pie and silver-coated chocolate flakes ingested, bubbles and vino sipped, hugs given, laughs had, notes-to-self written, museums toured and canals crossed. Whew! But most importantly, another day and year of life celebrated. In Amsterdam, January 7 has come and gone. It was a beautyfull day--one Ill never see again but one that will forever be remembered. Every Facebook post, Twitter and Instagram note, every text, kind message, FaceTime attempt, voicemail and live chats too, I will remember. So as I bid my early 20s (okay, 30s...ok, you caught me!) adieu, I send warm wishes of gratitude and love to all of you! Heres to another round of at least 40 years... PS. To my host and lovely friend of 14 years, @ilanafinley You rocked my Amsterdam world! Thank you!!!
