This is a story that needs to be told around the world of a Russian artist and writer (devoted husband and wife) who went searching throughout Central Asia for signs that a time of peace (called the time of Maitreya) was on its way. The Roerichs believed if people would turn to Beauty instead of war, we would have world peace. Their adventures throughout that search led them to be held in captivity on the border of Tibet and to pass through wars and revolutions but the true story is of their love and devotion to each other, to the spiritual teacher and to helping the world.
