And the Alice in Wonderland price for the lack of logic goes to #Chase. They sent me a letter requiring to call them to verify my date of birth and SSN. Neither one, obviously, changed since I opened the account many years ago. When I called, they a) identified me by checking the SSN and date of birth b) inquired for the reason c) told me I had to go to a branch because they are not allowed to confirm SSNs by phone. And threatened to close my long-time good standing account if I do not abide by their new security rules - without explaining why the letter requested just a call. I consider going to close my account at some point : can you trust organization without logic with your money?
