And what a busy day it was today, ferrying family and friends to the airport and back, and washing down the house. The first pic shows the job half done, the second all done. At the time of writing this post up, there is still one wall to do. Some of the places had me muttering, some places the water came in through bad window fitting, or loose flashing above the bay windows, or age old lead lighting losing its joint proofing. Oh well, shit happens and thats what you get with old, weatherboard housing. Unless the maintainance is kept up, these problems are going to become worse. Weve found another patch of rotting weatherboard on the patio wall. Somebodys gonna be shelling out big bucks on the jobs Ive found need to be done. Glad it aint my house or my problem. Cass and Brian have left for their 3 week honeymoon, lucky buggers. They got their luggage on the plane before I could sneak in and hide, mutter mutter mumble. Richard has flown down to Chch. Brians best mate flies out Saturday back to Melbourne. Right now the Old Girl and I are parking up for the day, weve done our bit, thats it. L8r all, take care, have a bloody good one.
