Although this song was written about Vincent van Gogh, I cant help but tie it into my feelings about Robin Williams. Still so sad about his death. It breaks my heart to think that he sat there, alone in his mansion, thinking he had no way out of whatever it was that was troubling him. I am here to tell you, theres ALWAYS a way out. There are people all over this country sitting by the phone just waiting for you to call. There are mental health professionals who literally get paid to watch over you while you sleep if you fear you cant control yourself when no one is looking. There are perfect strangers who sit in cafes, subway stations, bus stops, your classrooms, EVERYWHERE. All you have to do is tell someone. Pick up the phone or tap your neighbor on the shoulder... even if that stranger doesnt want to talk, they will probably AT LEAST alert the authorities of your situation. I just hate to see one more person take their own life out of fear that there isnt any way to get help.
