Anderson Cooper, CNNs openly gay anchor, thinks he is getting off easy. Baldwin called a photographer who got too close to his wife and child a cocksucking fag last week in an incident caught by TMZ cameras. If Alec Baldwin had yelled the N word to that photographer or yelled an anti-Jewish slur against that photographer, it would be over, Cooper said Monday (18 November) on his CNN show. He added: But the F word is a word that kids are called in school every single day. Teachers often do nothing about it. Cooper is also incredulous that Baldwin has claimed he did not know calling someone a cocksucker is an anti-gay slur. Dont lie about it afterward and claim you didnt know that was an anti-gay slur, he said of Baldwin. Its just a lie. Baldwin had earlier this year also referred to a gay journalist as a toxic little queen on Twitter. When Cooper was critical of the actor about that incident, Baldwin struck back in an interview on The Howard Stern Show saying: Anderson Cooper has a job to do. And that job is to try to reinforce his credibility in the gay community after the fact that you couldnt get him out of the closet for 10 years with a canister of tear gas. Now hes the sheriff. Now hes running around writing everybody a ticket! Baldwin has denied using the work fag in this latest incident despite being captured on video. Journalist Andrew Sullivan, who appeared as a guest on Coopers program, said what played out with Baldwin was a textbook case of being homophobic. ...
