Animal Charity Seeks Drivers Nottinghamshire based Animal Accident Rescue Unit is a registered charity with a lifelong commitment to rescuing sick, injured, neglected and vulnerable animals and birds, by providing an animal ambulance service to a vet and then undertaking the necessary medical treatment and foster care for abandoned casualties. Last year the team, all volunteers, helped nearly 400 animals. The charity is desperate for volunteer drivers who can give a few hours a week or month to be ‘on call’. This means that if an animal is in need, a driver collects the animal and drops it off at the vet, simple as that. Expenses are paid, if required, and all volunteers receive full training and support.
