Animator Chris Williams has launched a kickstarter project for an animated short involving both 3D and hand drawn animation. The Sketchbook is an inspiring story about a 16 year-old enlisting in World War I to find his father. It has a great story with a lot of heart. Chris has worked in the industry for over 13 years on a number of feature films such as Spider Man, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Wreck It Ralph, and is currently in production on Peanuts at Blue Sky Studios. Being able to finish a high level short film in a reasonable amount of time with experienced artists requires a hefty budget so Chris is very realistic about the dollar amount he is asking for. He has a number of talented artists(including Iron Giant story artist Bill Frake) already tied to the project so hopefully they’ll be able to get this thing going. If any of you are interested in donating a few bucks or even just sharing the page with friends, that would be great!
