Anne Curtis visits grateful Vhong in hospital Actor-host Vhong Navarro is thankful for the continuous prayers for his speedy recovery, according to his Its Showtime co-host Anne Curtis. Curtis, along with other “It’s Showtime” hosts, visited Navarro in the hospital on Saturday after the actor was attacked by a group of men last week. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Curtis said Navarro is trying his best to cope but is “just very thankful to everyone who’s sharing their prayers for him.” “Nagpapasalamat siya and he just wants all of us to continue doing what we are doing – to make people happy. It’s hard for him. It would be hard for anyone,” Curtis said. According to Curtis, it was heartbreaking for her to see Navarro in his situation but she is still glad that the dancer-host survived the attack. “I visited him kanina. It was good. Of course, it was heartbreaking to see him that way. But what’s important is he’s safe. I honestly didn’t know what to expect,” she said. While she is not sure how long Navarro will be absent from “It’s Showtime,” Curtis said: “He knows that all of us are here for him and we can’t wait for him to come back.” Meanwhile, Vice Ganda said all of them are in touch with Navarro. “Nakakatext namin siya. Hindi pa siya okay pero patuloy pa rin ang pagpapagaling niya,” he said. “Sobrang malungkot na malungkot kaming lahat. Bumagsak ang energy namin the moment na nalaman namin na may nangyaring hindi maganda kay Vhong. Parang kapatid na namin yan. Gayunpaman, nagpapasalamat pa rin kami dahil humihinga pa si Vhong,” he added. In a statement given to ABS-CBN News, Navarros doctor said the host will have to undergo surgery due to the contusion hematoma around his eyes, forehead, chin and some parts of his extremities. He has broken bones in his nose which will require surgery, the doctor added. We will continue his medications as of the moment and monitor for recovery.
