Anonymous I was the victim of physical abuse, yet I was charged. EVERYONE knew they had charged the wrong person, but SHE, the DA, was determined to destroy me-- and did. But the judge caught her withholding evidence. He sent me out of the room after charging her to go to her office and bring ALL evidence. I kept referring to them and she kept YELLING that I was lying. What she had in her files were at least the following: - Her assistants notes of my bruises, and the lack of any on my attacker (also known as wife) - Police reports to MANY other instances in which my wife had caused me physical harm or threatened me and (once) my son with a kitchen knife. - The utter lack of any such reports of me being violent, threatening, or abusive in any way, to anyone. - My request for a court appointed attorney. - Two letters sent from my therapist (which the DA asked for) who was helping me with recovering from abuse and depression due to the years of abuse but which she claimed she never received. All of that was there and she was in deep trouble. That last one backfired, because I think she was looking to claim I MUST be abusive because of PTSD -- with which I had not been diagnosed! I am, however, hypervigilant, in large part, because of the nature of the incessant abuse from my ex-wife. So SHE got caught crucifying the victim, the at-home-Dad, and the chief provider-- because she hated men. She had a social agenda. When what I was told was a discussion of disbarment proceedings ended the Judge came out to me in the hallway, where I was sitting on the floor, and sat down in front of me, offering the most sincere of apologies, and promising that it was too late to save my children, my job, or my home, but he would make the false charges against me disappear.
