Another great weekend of 7s. Well done Noosa Sevens, awesome event again. We didnt get the results we wanted, going out in both the mens & womens cup semi-finals, but there were plenty of positives for our build up towards the big events later in the spring. Best wishes to Kaliah Daley and Vili Faingaa, both suffering lower leg fractures. All the best for speedy recoveries - looking forward to seeing you back on the field soon! Nikki Stanley, although she spent a few hours in Noosa Hospital, received the all-clear from a nasty head knock, and will be ready to go next tournament. Well done to the Aussie Pearls, winning the Womens Cup final. It was good to see Tribe7s girls Laura Waldie, Brooke Walker, Dom Du Toit, Phoebe Thomas, Maddi McCarthy, Marioulla Belessis & Tallisha Harden making strong contributions along with Aussie squad members Cheech Barker & Rachel Crothers who starred for Tribe7s in the wins at Amsterdam 7s & Emmanuel International Rugby 7s This weekend was a major part of our preparation for Central Coast Sevens - CC7s International Rugby Festival & Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens and despite picking up a couple of injuries, we remain well positioned for a strong showing at both events. Photos of the weekend to be uploaded shortly.
