Another really encouraging email we have received, if you are interested in setting up your own puppet ministry we would love to help however we can! “Dear One Way UK, I wanted to let you know that ‘Poolside Puppets’ of Madeley Methodist Church (in North Staffordshire) are celebrating 10 years as a Christian Puppet Ministry this year and we are holding a 10th birthday event on Saturday 21st June, where we will be performing a number of our ‘greatest hits’. We can hardly believe it is 10 years since we tentatively embraced the fabric and foam creations in the form of the large people puppets! We soon caught ‘puppet fever’ and have not looked back. Over the years we have led and performed in numerous services in numerous churches locally and further afield as well as outdoors at a farm, ran training workshops, led school assemblies, supported children’s holiday clubs and performed at One Way festivals. We owe much to One Way UK; over the years we have been inspired by your team and other puppeteers at your festivals and training events, which have also been opportunities to worship alongside others with ‘puppet fever’, share ideas and learn so much – all of which has helped us develop our own Christian Ministry and style of worship. You have made available some fabulous puppets and fantastic resources, incredibly useful literature and a wealth of music. We have met many lovely people and are we truly grateful for these opportunities and all your advice and support over the years. We just wanted to let you know! God bless and many thanks.”
