Another reminder why all of us coaches got into this biz in the first place. This is what I love most about the CrossFit community. If you let it, it can truly be life changing. Jen and Tim – A little over a year ago, I walked into West End Crossfit for the first time with an appointment to watch a class. I was unhappy with myself and desperate to find something that would help me manage my stress and feel better both physically and mentally. Walking alone into your establishment was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and it was tough to not walk out immediately when I saw the people working out in the gym that day. Almost everybody was lean and toned and seemed to have no trouble with the exercises. A far cry from my level of fitness at that time! Jen spent quite a while with me that morning, helping me to understand your philosophy on health and how Crossfit can help anyone achieve their goals. Despite nearly passing out from low blood sugar in the introductory session, I signed up for on ramp courses and haven’t looked back since! Fast forward nearly a year…Wayne and I visit Acadia National Park every year for a week of hiking. One trail in particular, the Precipice Trail, had terrified me because of its exposed heights and the number of iron rungs up the steep mountain side. I have a goal of hiking every trail in Acadia at least once, and I decided this year would be the year to conquer the Precipice. I never dreamed that I would feel so confident in my physical abilities! I had absolutely no trouble pulling myself up the iron rungs, and I have you both to thank for that. You have made a difference in my life in so many ways in just a year, and I want to thank you for helping me on my journey to better health. I appreciate your constant encouragement as I continue to work towards my goals, and I am proud to be part of the West End Crossfit family. Krystal
