Any input here would be appreciated. Our rescue pug, Obi, was just diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor on his shoulder. According to his rescue organization Obi had this bump/tumor when they rescued him and their vet felt like it was just a fatty tumor and likely nothing to worry about. Our vet did a needle biopsy last week and the results show some Mast cells and Obi is scheduled to have it removed this Friday. Our vet is hopeful it is going to be staged at I or II but we will not know until after the surgery and pathology comes back. Has anyone here dealt with this type of tumor/cancer with their pug? We have gone through lots of illnesses with our pugs over the years but never this. Thank you for any help here. We are so in love with our guy and Im really sad and worried over this development. :(
