Anybody that knows me, figures on a special day I will write some long poetic and uplifting story. Did I do this yesterday on our anniversary? Nope...hmmm..was there a reason? Nope...did we enjoy the day? I hope...we ate, but we didnt buy each other gifts. We have a plan to spend the day together on saturday, just me and her. Over the last few months we have made drastic changes in our lives..we left a comfortable surrounding and made a new home. I have been working my butt off and working on two different houses..getting one ready to move in and one ready to rent. I know I have been one difficult man to deal with lately..I cant make excuses for my actions, but I have had more on my plate than I ever had before. Somewhere me and mel have lost who we were. And we realize it. Many couples out there have been there or are there now, and could be heading there. Too many times we left life, family, and daily stresses invade and take control. And we lose focus on whats important. We take our spouse for granted..men do it and women do also. Its not that you dont love the other one, but you fail to show it. Im guilty of this. And Im sure my wife will say she is too. We started out as friends. We met at a weird time in both our lives. And then one day decided we should date. She will swear she wasnt wanting to date me, but she did. I swore I would never fall in love again, but I did. Over time tho, we have lost a critical thing we once had. We love each other, and we care deeply about each other. But we lost our friendship. And we never seen it happening. And now we must work to find it once again. Its not that hard..if you lose your keys, you re-trace your steps to figure out where you left them. If you lose your way, you backtrack to somewhere you know and start over. Same is life and love..hit reverse, find that old familiar place and go forward again. So melody when we head out saturday morning, lets not just back the truck out the driveway literally. As Im backing out the drive, look over at me and look for that man that stole your heart. And I will look for that beautiful blue-eyed blonde girl that made me want to love again....Kyle
