Anyone looking for patterns or correlation in US foreign policy is strongly recommended to read this book. During the last month the US has been tarred with the genocide brush for funding, arming, and aiding Israel. Then Israel wins a contract to provide US domestic armed forces with drones and other tech. A multi-million dollar contract. On page 35 Brzezinski actually admits, It is also a fact that America is too democratic at home to be autocratic abroad. This limits the use of America’s power, especially its capacity for military intimidation... Ysee, the police brutality that Americans experience at home is necessary, because a less passive and compliant population would be asking questions about why their government is funding and committing warcrimes. So the humans at home get beaten, tasered, or their household pets shot without reason so that the US navy, army, and air force can continue terrorizing those countries with available oil, gas, uranium, or other resources. Its not the USA doing it, its the rich people above that who control congress and the whitehouse. These people use the entire US armed forces as their little pet Gestapo army to do their bidding wherever in the world theres something they want to steal or control. Its why the army base in Baghdad is so massive - because its not a base at all, its an oil refinery. Its also why the high tech propulsion system that could have been given to scientific vessels, coastguards, or logistics is given solely to the navy so they can keep terrorizing people without ever having to refuel.
