Apologies in advance to my non-rescue people. A CTA (commit to - TopicsExpress

Apologies in advance to my non-rescue people. A CTA (commit to adopt) is JUST that. A COMMITMENT. When you dont show up on your commitment, YOU keep that dog in the system longer then it needs to be. You keep other potential adopters from the dog. Other serious rescues from that dog. The possibility of an amazing home from a member of the general public. For every CTA that does not show up, that particular dog is held for the next IP (interested party) until the NEXT day. That valuable kennel space being taken up. If you are a rescue and have a CTA and do not show up. You are as bad as the person that failed the dog in the first place ! Whats the take away from this ? DONT CTA A DOG UNLESS YOU INTEND ON FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH THE ADOPTION. We expect this shit from the general public. But a breed specific group flaked on a CTA today, and every time a rescue group flakes on a CTA I will post their name in this thread. Theres so many f***en flakes that one of our county shelters will not even take a CTA over the phone anymore. The last IP I had on a Neo at Lancaster nearly lost its life because the CTA flaked and I was on the road. If it werent for people on the thread who caught this and knew I was the IP and blew up my phone and FB, hed be dead because he was major medical. (It was Rocky, ripped apart by his brother another Neo.) COMMITMENT people. Look it up. Live it. Own it.
