Around the corner from where I live in Albert Park there is a beautiful two storey red brick building. When I first lived here 15 years ago Hugh from the Albert Park Deli would work on his car there. What I didnt know until recently was the building was once the Morris Dairy. In the lane behind me was a bakery - which still stands - and the stables have been converted to a warehouse apartment. It also faces on to Kerferd Road - where a large rock commemorates the location opposite where Vegemite was developed. Amazing local history - made more rich with Finlay Street being the location where I founded Neighbour Day in 2003.
