As I sit here and reflect on this my last night in St. Lucia, I cant help but to be ever so grateful for life! This year has been one for the record books. However, I see the assignment that was given to me. I know that my works havent gone unnoticed. I know that I am a faithful mother and daughter. Putting others before myself. This reward was a long time coming but I wouldnt change it for the world. I would like to thank each and every one of you who called, sent cards, and text me for my milestone birthday. Each message was truly heartfelt and for that, I am so appreciative. Last year, I vowed to myself that I would NOT spend my 40th birthday at home sitting around watching t.v. and I stuck to that promise. I may not have the world but I do have an understanding mother and several friends who made me realize just how important it is to take time out for SELF! Even when others dont realize that theyve driven you to the brink.....sometimes you just have to get away and relax, relate, release and reevaluate! I can honestly say that over these past 4 days, I have done just that! As I prepare to bid farewell to this beautiful island and magnificent people, I leave the weights that I brought here with me in the water to float away. I am now refreshed and ready to tackle the next assignment that my heavenly father has designed just for me. Thank you mommy, for being my rock! You know what to say and do to make it better. To John, even though weve been out of sync for a while, I THANK YOU for NEVER neglecting the role you play in Christians life. To my little Prince, what can I say, you are such an amazing child and I THANK YOU so very much for not giving mommy such a hard time about taking a few days off. I know you are anxiously awaiting my arrival back home. I LOVE YOU Pooh-Pa! See you tomorrow night to say prayers together. Okay, I think that sums it all up! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
