As I sit here in the dark at 1am in Haiti [ no electric right now] thinking about the hundreds of thousands of Haitian children and families sleeping just a block or two away in hand built tent type homes sleeping on the ground tonight. I think about these beautiful kids here at LHC that would be on the streets if not for this place. {LHC} Then I think about all God has blessed us with in the USA - food, good water, clothing, nice homes, cars.... Im in awe. Today I seen thousands of folks who havent had a real meal their whole life [some are starving to death] and some of us in America will complain if our toast at a restaurant is too brown. Tonight Im reminded of an old song, thank you Lord for your blessings on me As the world looks upon me, as I struggle along They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong In my heart Im rejoicing, how I wish they could see Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me Theres a roof up above me Ive a good place to sleep Theres food on my table And shoes on my feet You gave me your love Lord And a fine family Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me Now I know Im not wealthy, and these clothes , theyre not new I dont have much money, but Lord I have you And to me thats all that matters, though the world cannot see Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me
