As I start my new list, I want to say that all of these guys on the list are phenomenal players, have recordings, and they are largely unknown. People who follow bands these guys have been in know who they are, but except for the hardcore fan, they generally go unrecognized. Get ready to meet my list of the top 5 guitar players you have never heard of. #5 Bill Hudson of Jon Olivas Pain and Westfield Massacre, formerly of Circle II Circle, Cellador, and a few others. He has recorded on several albums with many different acts. With his new gig with Jon Olivas Pain and an album from them that should be coming hopefully soon, he should start to get some attention. Is he good? He has the job that was held exclusively by Matt LaPorte for years, so yeah, he is damn good. He should probably be #1 on this list, but I wanted to start off with a bang.
