As I was walking into the store today, I passed a car that had a dog inside. The car was not parked in the shade and ONE window was partially down. The dog was panting heavily and I was heartbroken!! I waited, somewhat frantic, for the owner to arrive.. He did finally after a few minutes and I immediately went into a lecture on heat stroke and exhaustion. Please, in this weather, be aware that it can get quite hot in a matter of minutes inside a locked car!! Save your pets from this heat and leave them home in a cool environment while you are running errands!!
