As Im leaving Pendleton, I realize Im in the heart of timber country when I passed the Blue Mt Lumber Co. This place is huge and puts into perspective how lumber gets to Home Depot/Lowes. The trees come in and they are BIG. The trees get wet down and bark gets stripped off and gets separated for compost and mulch. The trees get loaded onto big conveyors that move them into to cutting building, the sawdust gets sucked out into a huge bin and the finished boards come out the other end. EVERYTHING gets harvested. I hope these pics give some how big this operation is.
