As a child I was a very deep sleeper. Waking me up was a chore in itself...My parents would flip the light on and begin calling my name...several times, each being louder than before. Next, one violent snatch of the blanket...uncovered I might curl up and hope they had forgotten about me. Next would be the shaking. Once the shaking came I had no chance but to wake up-that was the last ditch effort sometimes as they went down the checklist of attempts to get me up and going in the right direction. I see our Father uses this method on deep sleepers concerning individuals, families and even nations. *Light begins to penetrate our closed eyes *God calls us specifically by name many times as His voice becomes louder and more difficult to ignore *The covers are snatched off leaving us exposed as we pretend not to hear *Then comes the shaking The shaking: This final plea from a loving Father before the consequences that come right into your home, your room and even your bed. America and her people will know this shaking. The Light is upon us and among us. Weve been called and warned. Our sin has been uncovered and we answer not and repent not. The shaking will not cease. The shaking will begin violently and continue until we rise up from our slumber or lie defiantly awaiting the consequence. Many of us have missed the bus already but cant the Father redeem the time as He drives you to school? When this bell rings and the roll is called will we remain tardy or be ready and alert? If you know Him, I pray peace over your life and circumstances. If you dont know Him, I pray the peace that the world knows will leave you so that you may wake up.
