As a #mom and a wife, I can sometimes get completely caught up in supporting my familys wishes and wants without prioritizing my own. And while Ive gotten much better at pulling that back from the brink of disaster, I still am not the most practiced at naming and considering my desires first. But yesterday I really wanted to have a hand full of people over for a night of music around a bonfire under the full moon. So I simply sent out last minute invitations then told my family about it. Regardless of how much homework Sienna had or whether or not Christopher could attend or how tired Sam might have been, I just decided to do it. And you know what? It turned out even better than I had anticipated. Not only did we have some amazing people show up for a magical evening of music, firelight, and writing our intentions and blessings in the sand under the light of a full moon, but my son and brother in-law showed up early enough for a full family surf session. Thats something that hasnt happened in years. My point? Whatever #deepDesire you feel inside, honor it. Whether or not it seems to make sense in the moment, just share it. Thats when magic happens.
