As everyone by now probably knows I love music, but for several years I worked as a manager in a theater. I loved the fact that movies could take people on such a shared journey, and they never needed to leave their own town. The question is now what journeys are we taking our minds on these days. Even the most innocent looking tv or movie often has messages that we should avoid. Sad thing is these messages try to surround us every day. I do have a few suggestions. Once a week, have a night that you watch only edifying entertainment. It is out there. Netflixs has a large faith selection. Read the bible daily. It opens the mind up and gives clarity. The word shall be with you as these sneaky messages try to invade your life. Reading the Bible will help you recognize when you should watch or just walk out of the theater. We, as Christians, can send a message to Hollywood that we want better entertainment for our souls. I am going to be out today, so I am going to leave you with a scripture and a song to maybe help make the day a little brighter. Psalm 101:3 “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.” https://youtube/watch?v=V1bFr2SWP1I
