As few of you know, Carol Rose, president of USOA lost her husband George about a month ago. George was a diver, and heavily involved with USOA, and I we will be holding a simple memorial for him on the 21st of Sept. Anyone who knew George, or knows Carol and what she has done for the USOA is encouraged to attend, say hello, and shares stories or some love,,,,,, See below for info on the event, and hope to see a bunch of you there. Underwater Society of America George Rose remembrance The USOA invites all associated councils, dive clubs, members, and associates to the Sandpiper Community Center 797 Redwood Shores Parkway Redwood City, CA 94065 (650)780-7323 on Saturday, September 21, 2013 1:00—4:00 PM to remember George Rose, past President of USOA George’s wife Carol Rose, current President of USOA, treasurer of Cen-Cal, member of the WDHOF, U/W hockey judge, and more, will be the honored guest. Hosting is by cencalfreedivers and U/W hockey. Donations are not necessary, but may be made out to Carol or USOA. Please pass this on to all USOA councils, clubs, and associated members.
