"As he watched his last Santa Barbara sun blaze out, the darkness that followed reminded him of the ashes of a world he was leaving behind. Yet, it was in the death of such an existence that the beak of a budding, new possibility began to appear effervescently visible." To all those that I have known in my quests at UCSB, whether in passing or deep friendship, I want you to know how much I have learned from you all. Thanks for reminding me of how growing up is overrated, and that "growing out" is just as important. My future success will always be in debt to all my friends, teachers and mentors that held so much knowledge for an old "grandpa" like me. Farewell UCSB and Santa Barbara.
