As i have promised.... I am not leaving Toronto without seeing my most admired ex colleagues friends from Singapore Airlines. They have been a part of my AIRLINE LIFE from day one I joined SQ. Now that they are living a Canadian life and away from the Philippines for quite some time... I am so lucky to have the rare chance to visit them here...and "being the first one" from SQ Manila to have visited them. Meeting this afternoon at the Eaton Center in downtown Toronto Ms Nancy Cunanan our very much well loved executive secretary of SIA MNL and Ms Cecil Lopez our former Senior Accountant officer was like going back in time. An afternoon of recollections...sad and happy !! Over a lunch of a Canadian specialty dishes at the famous Baton Rouge Restaurant in Eaton Center in downtown Toronto...we had an intense chat recalling events from the past... Vivid and emotional. Cecil wanted me to try the Pork back ribs but then I have been dining meat for days already so I opted for the Atlantic Salmon Fillet grilled and served with tartar sauce and creamy mashed potatoes and accompanied with their soup of the day. The dish was good though not exceptionally that good. While Ms Nancy and Cecil had a flavorful and tender Canadian Pork chop which looks so appetizing ! We parted teary eyed and I could not help it..they have been such good friends to me...all those SQ years ! Thank you Ms Nans and Cecil.. :(
