As of this month, it has been a year since I started cycling (and annoying you about how I started cycling). Im still in love with it. To celebrate my One Year Anniversary... ill be racing this weekend in Eureka Springs, AR - kinda as a torture test for another race ill be participating in, in Wichita Falls, TX the weekend of Rise at Night: Block Party Presented by Electric Circus (which, sadly, is why im not playing). The Crit race on the 24th will mark 1 year to the day of riding. So far, ive ridden 2,165.6 miles!! I encourage anyone that has thought about riding, to do it! I keep saying it, but, its been one of the best things I have done for my physical (and mental) health in a very long time. Thanks to Soundpony Bar, Team Soundpony, Dillon Hargrave, Andy Wheeler, Geordon Sparks Orbical Taylor, Joshua Gifford, Nicholas Cordell Flores, Clay Flores, Shaun P Matthews, Robert Founds, Sammy Mophos and anyone else that has taken the time to ride with me, show me the ropes and who has inspired and encouraged me. Ill never forget climbing Cry Baby Hill, and seeing friends, and people id just met, screaming and cheering me on...in the (very) early morning rain. That beer that Tony handed me, and that bin it ended up in. Crossing the finish line, and watching Greggy take on that hill... just... awesome. Special mention to Julie Renee for supporting me, feeding me Ibuprofen and trying to keep me from biting off more than I can chew (voice of reason).
