As promised, pics of our new vehicle which were very, very happy with. After a great deal of deliberation we bought a Dodge Grand Caravan. The final decision mostly came down to which vehicle we believed would provide the greatest level of comfort for our clients and the Grand Caravan was the winner. The Dodge has bags of room. Sean (188cm, 6 2) sat in every seat to test out the leg and head room for each one and was really impressed, never feeling cramped at all even in the third row. Having captains chairs in the second row helps of course. In addition it also has very flexible stow n go seating where every seat can fold flat into the floor so there are any number of configurations we can get to ensure the most room and comfort for our clients. The Grand Caravan can carry six passengers (and six large backpacks) in addition to the driver/guide but we will probably cap it at five in most cases to give as much space as possible. We have a guide/client ratio of 1:5 for the majority of our trips so any number over five and well be looking at a second vehicle anyway. Hence we will still be taking a couple of short term lease vehicles (full size SUVs for the rougher forestry roads) from Driving Force in Langley next summer just as we have before but the Grand Caravan will be our go to transport for most tours. Now to get it pimped up in vinyl with our logo and some promotional material.
