Articles from websites like giftsofknowledge net and shaikhalbaani wordpress are being promoted by certain brothers and sisters (with numerous followers) who took it upon themselves to make ijtihad in defining who is on and who is off and what is THE balanced/middle path. Regrettably, many of our innocent/good hearted brothers and sisters who (follow, read, like, share from them) feel over-confident about being able to assess their manaahij based on internet posts or the fact that they sit under scholars or because they spoke to them over skype/phone a few times. Ask YOURself why am I going to these sites in the first place? who is behind it? who is the translator? who are they known or connected to? who do they praise and who do they criticize? who do they affiliate themselves with? Until you find out, refrain from them, baarak Allaahu feekum. Let the ones who want to accept the naseehah do so, and the ones who wish to reject may do so at their own risk.
