As the Workers Rights Spokesperson for Sinn Fein I am hugely disappointed in SIPTU and its position on water charges. For the largest trade union in the state to support the Government and its disastrous policy on water charges is incredible. Yes they are calling for charges to be deferred but only due to public pressure. If the leaders of SIPTU are so out of touch with their members and on this issue they are, the members should replace them. Hopefully SIPTU members will ignore the ridiculous stance of its leadership and come out in their thousands. Sorry Jack O Connor but you are wrong on this and you will find out again tomorrow.
