As the final chapter of 2014 draws to an end, like most of us, I - TopicsExpress

As the final chapter of 2014 draws to an end, like most of us, I find myself sitting here looking back over the events of this past year. Weighing the victories against the defeats, counting the check marks to decide if it was an overall good or bad year for me. The disappointments are heavy as I find that even one of the most basic and simple desires of mine still yet eludes my grasp. That coupled with disappointment in the actions of a few that I once thought better of might tip the balance if were not for a few sparkling victories. Like watching my son, Joey , walk across the stage as he graduated from Ivy Tech, the first man in our line of the family to every make it that far. To watch the walls of separation that once kept him and I apart start melting away as weve become closer. Seeing impact that I have made in the the lives of others around me like the daughter I never had, Josie . While there are those that measure success by promotions, titles, medals, and wealth. But they likely will never know just how wrong they are. No the true measure of success is how positively and richly you touch the lives of those around you as well as staying true to your honor, morals and values. So in that case 2014 was a very successful year and I look forward filling the pages of 2015. Happy New Years to all my family and friends. Stay safe and may God bless you all.
