As usual at this time of year I take some time to watch a lot of horror movies (and related entertainment). For your enjoyment/swift scrolling past, some brief reviews over the next few days. First up: NBCs Dracula! I gave up on this show pretty quick when it aired but it was a mistake; after giving it a second chance on DVD I really came to enjoy it. It finds its feet during the 4th episode (or by then I was used to its strange contortions of Stoker) and from then on I found it quite engrossing. The great cast and the amazing production design helped, but the script and plotting were good too. Its one of those Dracula as Fu Manchu type stories that weve seen in 60s pulp novels and 70s comics but that has its charm. Much better than True Blood. https://youtube/watch?v=Hbc3DFC10ng
