As we mark the end of Rammadan with the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations, I want to congratulate the Muslim Ummah for a successful fast as well as thank Nigerians for their prayers for Nigeria. It is my hope that we retain the character improvements that the Ramadan fast fostered in us beyond this season. One of those character traits which the Quran emphasizes is tolerance. Nigeria needs tolerance amongst her people irrespective of region or religion and I commend the Muslim Ummah for demonstrating this virtue even as I recommend it to all of us. I urge all patriotic Nigerians to remain strong and resolute in defence of freedom, unity, law and order, peace, security and progress of the nation. I wish all Nigerians the best as we celebrate during this holiday. May God bless Nigeria. Goodluck Jonathan President Federal Republic Of Nigeria.
