#AskACCA 247 its about P4 i want to know...how do we came to know that which discount factor to be used in calculation of present values of different business project appraisals... some times it uses WACC, and some time Ke. ..some time calculating Ke through Ba (asset beta) and come time calculating Ke through Be (equity beta).. and then use Ke as discount factor... and some time further it calculate WACC and use it as discount factor.. please explain how do we came to know that which discount factor to be used and how our decision change to use different discount factor at different situation.
