Assalamualaikum Friends, So you have professed your undying love for each other, and the honeymoon period is now over. Suddenly, you become more aware of things about your spouse which erm, seems to be a bit different (read: annoying). These things do not just magically appear. They have always been there, and will probably continue being there. And marriage is never about making differences disappear - you are still two different individuals. However, you can be two individuals who are deeply in love; accept and respect each other for who they are; and strive to make the best out of each others uniqueness (hint:click on the video to learn a tip or two from Mufti!) Happy ever afters dont only exist in fairytales. It can exist in a real marriage too - but we do need to be a bit more practical and realistic about it; and handle it with lots of give-and-takes, patience and prayers. InshaAllah, a blessed ever after is not impossible.
