Responsibilities will include teaching multiple levels of movement, directing one mainstage production each year, and working closely with adjunct faculty members in dance. Additional teaching assignments depending on expertise and departmental need, and may include Acting, advanced acting topics, Introduction to Theatre, Stage Management, World Theatre or Dance, and other dance courses. NDSU Theatre is accredited by NAST and is part of the Division of Performing Arts. We offer the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance, in Musical Theatre, and in Technical Theatre, and undergraduate liberal arts degrees. The department has roughly 55 majors, seven faculty members, several adjuncts, and support staff. Effective oral and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who have a second area of interest and training in Theatre history/literature/theory, stage management, and/or choreography; demonstrated pedagogical ability in the areas mentioned above; professional experience as a director, choreographer, performer, or stage manager; ability to teach in multicultural theatre or in dance; expertise in practices of social engagement and/or entrepreneurial skills; demonstrated understanding of and commitment to promoting diversity; an established and recognized creative/research agenda and accomplishments.
