Associate Principal and Dean of Programs Mr. Victor Shin has accepted the position of Head of the Upper School at Maryvale Preparatory School in Baltimore, Md. Maryvale, a Catholic independent girls school serving grades six through twelve, is affiliated with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. Mr. Shin first joined the Bishop McNamara High School staff in 2003, teaching in the mathematics and social studies departments as a substitute teacher. During his 11-year tenure, he served as a volleyball coach, the Assistant Principal of Student Life, and the moderator of multiple clubs before taking over as an Associate Principal. “It’s never felt like a job here,” he said. “I’ve had a tremendous opportunity to help young men and women grow and I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned in my professional career at Bishop McNamara at Maryvale Preparatory School.” President/CEO Marco Clark ’85 echoed Mr. Shin’s statements, adding that, “Victor has been a tremendous blessing upon our school and community with his ability to prioritize and accomplish meaningful goals. We will miss him, but look to continue what he instilled as we search for a replacement in his position.”
