Attention Nurses!! The Career Development Committee, a sub-committee of the Nurse Professional Advisory Committee (N-PAC) is pleased to announce a nursing spotlight recognition for exemplary performance. The recognition is open for all Department of Health & Human Service Nurses: Commissioned Corps, Contract, Civil Service, & Tribal I/T/U. Criteria The Career Development Sub-Committee would like to recognize nurses who: 1. Demonstrate through innovation and creativity, outstanding nursing contributions with measurable benefits. 2. Engage in multiple and creative recruitment services which results in successful recruitment initiatives for the selection and placement of highly qualified health care professionals in areas of need. 3. Directly/indirectly develop and/or improves programs supporting the education and training of health care workers and nurses. 4. Make substantial contributions having an impact on the mission of the Corps. (Advocacy, mentorship, and hardship tours could be highlighted here). 5. Participated in an act(s) of courage or bravery resulting in preserving or saving the health or lives of others. 6. Display outstanding leadership that has had a major impact on the health of our nation or the population served. 7. Significantly contribute to advancing the health and welfare of the population served. 8. Participate in volunteer work that significantly and positively impacts the population served. 9. Are public health pioneers or is involved with the creation or implementation of cutting edge techniques, procedures, or technology. 10. Extend themselves above and beyond the call of duty. 11. Make unusual or extraordinary contributions to the agency and/or population they serve.
