Augustine English Kasivila wrote An open letter to CIC Julius Malema. I have been watching with interest from when you were the president of the youth league of the ANC to the current role of CIC of a economic revolutionary party that you have successfully formed, to the current events that had led you and your party colleagues cause discomfort in parliamentary structures. I have seen the strength in you that a lot of people in the political arena does not have. I have heard almost all your speeches and I developed an admiration on you and your political path. One thing for certain, you are born a leader, many may argue on that fact but it is true. When Mandela and Walter Sisulu started their political journey not every black South African admired them. They also received back lashes from the community they were representing, but that did not wash away the determination and purpose of their struggle. Let me tell you that its easier to follow a crowd than a single man with a vision and that is what is happening. From your message to the South Africans in general, what you have asked for is loud and clear and very rational, but people do not believe there is an opening at the end of the tunnel. As a bystander I have not seen equality in the legislature. There is mixed races and parliamentarian s come dressed in apparel of their own liking. I have seen robes, I have also seen traditional attires. I still question myself why the Speaker of regional parliament for Gauteng disallowed the red overalls. That was outright segregation on dress code. You were supposed to inform the speaker that you represent the down trodden, the marginalized, the poor and working class. I thank you for bringing purpose to the parliament as most of the elected parliamentarian s treat it as a platform to showcase their expensive Gucci handbags and fine cut suits. Parliament is a work place for you and party. In everyday news we hear about strikes and demonstrations across the country. It is the same people who are crying for better service delivery, meaningful wages and a better living condition that you so represent. But no one up there is willing to hear their plight. Honorable CIC, no one on earth will derail your political path if God has chosen you to be a leader. The road may be rough and poor terrain but you will get there by Gods grace. Leaders are made by God. I thank you.
