Aunt Sue, Please Meet Me At The Gate Yesterday marked the last - TopicsExpress

Aunt Sue, Please Meet Me At The Gate Yesterday marked the last day of my Aunt Sue Bishops short 60 year life on earth. More importantly, it marked the first day of her eternal life. I stand firm in Gods promise of heaven. I believe. Sue left behind all that she knew and loved. Her departure is confusing and tragic for all who loved her. But God was not surprised by this. He was not caught off guard. He has my Aunt Sue, and he has my Uncle Randy. God has Sues daughter Kelly and her beloved granddaughters, Kenny and Conner. God has all of us who loved her. He has all of us. He has me. We grieve and we cry over our loss. Our tears are precious to our Creator. God keeps track of all our sorrows. He keeps our tears in a bottle. Psalm 56:8 says so. I believe. When my cousin Tony phoned with the news, my heart skipped a beat. I could not breath. After a text exchange with my Uncle, I lit a candle for Aunt Sue as he requested. The flickering light opened the eyes of my heart, and I could see. I see that we dont have to know all the answers. There are mysteries known only to our God. But I see that He is love. Evidence of His love abounds when we cast aside our fear based thinking and raise ourselves in love based hoping, in loved based believing. Speaking of love. How many people do you know who you have never heard utter one word of ugliness against another human being? Aunt Sue was one of those rare people. No matter who or what was presented to Aunt Sue, her response was always love. Not sometimes. Always. #grace Love is her great legacy. God help me to love more. As a tribute to Aunt Sue and to honor You, help me to choose love. Sue looked for the good in others. It was easy to see God in her. Grounded in her faith, in her precious marriage of nearly 43 years, and in her family who she loved, Aunt Sue is now experiencing a love we have never known. Hatred is the result of human failure to love. Evil is the result of human failure to love. Sue did not fail. She is victorious. She believed. She loved. Love triumphs over everything, even death. Love never ends. It our last written exchange from three weeks ago, Sue reminded me that I am special. She reminded me of her love. She told me that she hoped to see me again over the holidays. Aunt Sue, God is preparing for our best holiday together yet. I will see you again in Paradise. Please meet me at the gate. I hope. I believe. The world is a better place because Sue chose love. Heaven has gained a most beautiful angel. To God be the Glory.
