Australians in Iraq should depart immediately while commercial - TopicsExpress

Australians in Iraq should depart immediately while commercial flights continue to operate. Baghdad International Airport is continuing to operate and commercial airlines are flying in and out of Baghdad. Some airlines have increased capacity in response to increased demand for seats, or are planning to do so. Airlines servicing Baghdad include Emirates, Etihad, Fly Dubai, Gulf Air, Royal Jordanian, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Egyptair, Middle Eastern Airlines and Iraqi Airways. This situation could change at very short notice and Australians should make their arrangements to depart without delay. If you are in Iraq and wish to leave the country, but are experiencing difficulty booking flights, the Embassy in Baghdad may be able to provide information by telephone or email. We continue to advise Australians not to travel to Iraq. smartraveller.gov.au/zw-cgi/view/Advice/Iraq
