Author Leni Zumas and illustrator/animator Luca DiPierro joined me on Between The Covers to talk about A Wooden Leg, their novel in 64 cards. We talked about co-creating/co-writing, constraint-based art (e.g. the Oulipo), fictions that invite reader participation, recombination and chance, and why narratives that are fragmentary, that dont create the traditional fictive spell, are sometimes met with such hostility by some.
