Ay-up! First class evening last night, with the usual fun-filled frolics... Fablus to have return visits from both Mark Purnell and Hamish Currie. Mark underlined the quality of his own songs, with 2 self-penned beauties that really impressed..the quality of the accompanying cover was none too shabby either! (By the way, thanks for bringing your friends as well, Mark...all newcomers warmly received!) ;-) Hamish was his usual charming self, and displayed his virtuosity on guitar, ukulele and vocals..Cant be many guys around whod finish the evening off with Im Just a Teenage Dirtbag on Ukulele...the crowd loved it! ;-) Although short of a few stalwarts, we still had sterling supporting performances from Trev C (who em-ceed with brio!), Ruth, Andy, Pete & Rhys, (who were then joined on stage by the other members of El Bando Grando), Gary (Usual classy performance) Richard the Lothario and Brian P. All played well and everyone had a great time...although, thinking about it, I aint never had too much fun!....sounds good to me. If you want good times and good music, come along & see us folks... ;-)
