Azir, The Emperor of the Sands is League of Legends Newest Champion Riot Games has revealed their newest addition to the ever-growing list of champions available in free-to-play MOBA League of Legends, this time taking a very Eastern desert theme with Azir, The Emperor of the Sands. Azir is a mage who summons Shuriman soldiers to control the battlefield and basic attack for him, reads the rather lengthy champion page. The soldier’s piercing basic attacks furnish most of Azir’s damage potential, making him an outlier amongst mages as a right-click-focused champion. Azir’s spells, on the other hand, manipulate his and his soldiers’ positions to keep him safe and establish dangerous no-go zones for his enemies. One of the very unique things about Azirs ability list is his passive, Will of the Emperor. The mage will be able to summon a Disc of the Sun on the base of a destroyed turret, with the disc behaving like a turret except for its increased damage and granting Azir gold on minion or champion kills. Be careful though, as the Sun Disc will only last a short time and you wont want to get caught out. Azris other abilities include his Q that orders Sand Soldiers to rush at a target position, W for summoning the untargetable Sand Soldiers (though be warned, they only last a short time), a gap-remover on E that will feint to a target Sand Soldier causing knock up, and his ultimate on R that will call orth a phalanx of shield-wielding soldiers who press forward, knocking back and damaging enemies.
