BB update: First, thanks so much for all the birthday blessings. They certainly helped me through this day. I love and value all of you so much. BB and I spent most of the day hunting a vet for her. It turns out we have a very nice, brand new emergency animal clinic here. We have the diagnosis. BB had a stroke. She also has an enlarged left ventricle, irregular heart beat and a kidney infection and cataracts. There is no sign of any broken or dislocated bones. There is, however, some obvious neural damage. She is walking a little bit but she can only go sideways and falls over after a few steps. That has improved as the day passed. She is finally eating a few bites… It will most likely be a long recovery but there is hope she will be somewhat like our little BB. Her life will very different now. We will learn to make allowances for her new needs. She is family and friend and we will do all we can to help her. Your prayers have seen us through the worst. We cannot thank you all enough.
